Radical Islamic cleric claims taking school children as hostages is a reasonable course of action Filed under: Policy / Politics Islamism Middle East— Jason Hayes @ 10:48 pm
All followers of Islam, that have not already done so, need to recognize what many of their clerics are teaching.

Furthermore, they need to LOUDLY tell those radical clerics that they do not represent any mainstream form of Islam. They do not represent an Islam that can exist in a civilized world with other civilized people and civilized religions. They do not represent a humane or even human religion. They represent the worst of humanity and the worst of organized religion and until other Muslims very clearly distance themselves from the hatred, bigotry, and insanity they will (unfortunately) be grouped in with the radical lunatics.

No sane person (Muslim or non-Muslim) can remain quiet in the face of this foolishness. Anyone who does not openly deride Omar Bakri Mohmmed as a fringe lunatic, in the face of comments like this, lends credibility to his Islamist agenda.

An extremist Islamic cleric based in Britain said yesterday that he would support hostage-taking at British schools if carried out by terrorists with a just cause.

Omar Bakri Mohammed, the spiritual leader of the extremist sect al-Muhajiroun, said that holding women and children hostage would be a reasonable course of action for a Muslim who has suffered under British rule.

In an interview with The Sunday Telegraph, Mr Mohammed said: “If an Iraqi Muslim carried out an attack like that in Britain, it would be justified because Britain has carried out acts of terrorism in Iraq.

“As long as the Iraqi did not deliberately kill women and children, and they were killed in the crossfire, that would be okay.”

To those who didn’t figure it out yet, there is no such thing as a “just cause” that would support taking school children hostage, or that could justify killing kids in a cross-fire that they instigated. Any cause, religious or political, that encourages the murder of innocent women and children is obscene and immoral.
